WHAT IS REACH?
REACH is part of Old Powhatan Baptist Church’s Acts 1:8 initiative to be Christ’s witnesses around the world and in our own town. REACH stands for Restoring, Evangelizing Agents of Christ’s Hope. Our goal is simple… to spread the hope found only in Jesus Christ through mercy, grace, restoration and evangelism. FOR 6th GRADERS and UP.
WHEN IS REACH?
REACH will be held July 29-August 2, 2009. Group and individual registration will be from 3:00-5:00PM on Wednesday, July 29 and REACH will conclude after OPBC's 11:00AM Worship Service on August 2.
HOW WILL WE REACH?
Students and adults will be involved in various ministries around the Powhatan and Richmond metro areas. Children's Outreach, clothing closets, homeless ministries, home and yard cleanup and painting and street evangelism are just a few of the opportunities
students will have to REACH during the week. All ministries will be overseen by adult leadership. Students will sleep, eat and shower at Old Powhatan Baptist Church.
WHAT WILL A DAY AT REACH LOOK LIKE?
7:30 AM Breakfast
8:00 AM Quiet Time and Bible Study
9:00 AM Sendoff to work sites
12 Noon Lunch on site
3:30 PM Return to Church for FREE/ 
FELLOWSHIP/ GAME time
FELLOWSHIP/ GAME time5:30 PM Dinner and evening activities begin
8:00 PM Evening Worship and Sharing
11:00 PM Lights Out
WHAT SPECIAL THINGS WILL BE GOING ON?
REACH will kick off with a special concert by singer-songwriter DEREK WEBB on Wednesday, July 29 at 7:00 PM. Each evening will consist of a special fellowship time (Pool Party, Ultimate Relay, Capture the Flag) as well as Praise and Worship and Bible Study. Sunday morning, REACH will close with youth led worship services at 8:30AM and 11:00AM. Students will grow in ministry and faith.
WHAT DOES REACH COST?
$125 per person (6th Grade and UP)
Includes meals, housing, transportation costs, materials, concert and
REACH t-shirt.
